An eternal battle for some while others are humble enough to simply walk to their own beat. Yet the funniest thing about this is the world wanting people to be themselves. To do what makes sense to them which is true if it wasn’t for the little details that were left out. One can’t simply go to a casual party dressed like a ghost buster thinking they could stay. It’s a choice yes but a rebellious one in the eyes of others who prefer to uphold a certain standard. This is when the time and place argument comes into play which can coincide with what someone may truly want.
Can we always say we did something because we felt like it when someone asks why we did it?
Does caring what others think and feel always have to do with the personal decisions a person makes?
It really depends on the character of an individual and sometimes that can make someone feel out of place. As time ages everything in the world so does teachings along with the concept of moral ground. It can become a parallel universe for someone who feels somethings should never change. But such an argument would fall to those who prefer to go against the grain. It’s a choice and society will always do what makes sense to them. Just like the Samurai who lives by the sword and would die for honor only to feel alone in a world that didn’t feel the same.
Everything eventually becomes outdated so maybe the key to getting passed this is to remain timeless.
