It doesn't matter what background you have when it comes to relatives because it is the centerfold of our entire existence. Whether you come from a family of a few siblings, an aunt and uncle or grandparents. We all know the traditional family of being able to have our parents in our lives are some of the most valued and sacred. And of course if you just happen to have run short of those options you can always learn to make your own.
Another well-known fact is how problematic this can be for people especially when lack of communication and common ground comes into play. The most famous being the Kane and Abel scenario were you end up clashing with a loved one over a difference of opinion. Most commonly over things like how different you are from one another. Generally speaking, loyalty is expected to arise from the chaos of this kind of madness. Simply to differentiate the concept from what it means to be family from outsiders. So you look out for one another for better or worse like there is never supposed to be a breaking point.
They say if you love yourself then others will love you for it. Which sounds like a selfish statement but yet may have many truths to it. One of them being the idea of being the leader everyone needs to turn to in their time of need. But when that time comes the question will generally come down to - For the sake of who?
I'd like to believe that family is an unbreakable bond but in an cut throat world it seems more and more like a valuable commodity that's only for those who know how to make it work.
