Because that’s usually where the focus of a subject becomes distorted. The same way slapping labels on something or someone is designed to shut things down. This is about society and the types of things they deem worthy of their time. One of them being the negative part of the internet which can be cluttered with things that make the average person want to click a dislike button. Too bad only youtube had the sense to add that to their platform. Even though it really doesn’t make much of a difference in terms of what gets attention or in better words, what deserves your attention.
Topic B is a story about someone who is randomly going around destroying property for the sake of getting attention.
Which story do you think the average modern day web user will ignore?
These days it’s said that chances are Topic B would be the usual choice for the average web user. Which actually allows far too much potential for building a following online. Think in terms of how popular social experiments, prank videos and anything that has world star yelled in it have become. In spite of becoming questionable to the world nothing till this day has slowed down its exposure. It can be said that it’s even forced sometimes as I have seen horrible stories pop up on FB that I never asked to see in the first place.
Which is something I do believe is up to society to resolve someday.
