However, what is usually disregarded is the most obscure life we have on this earth like bugs and sea life. I mean when was the last time you were actually asked to go to an aquarium?
At first I was sure people was hip on their own curiosity of the life on this planer but after asking a few people if they knew of the Megalodon shark, they just scratched their heads in confusion. In fact the topic is probably so obscure that even spell check does not correct the name right. But I guess since the ocean is the ocean and pretty much on the least to do list, I shouldn’t be that surprised. Sadly, what people don’t know is of the unexplained phenomena that goes on out at sea. Still till this day scientist claim man has only explored 10 – 20 percent of the ocean. Which leaves a pretty big question in terms of what could be lurking in the deep sea.
Yeah, even with something like Google earth maps this is hard to tackle but I guess it’s probably because there aren’t any Google boats to take pictures out there.
It wasn’t long ago that a giant squid that scientist claimed could be the legendary Kraken was found. Before that the concept of a giant squid capable of taking down a ship was just folktale. Now we have what is called a Megalodon shark which has been said to grow up to 70 feet in length and the potential former hunters of blue whales. The current record of the biggest Great White Shark in the world was only discovered at 29 - 30 feet long and the biggest caught on camera recently was only 20 feet.
That video went viral by the way after people were amazed by how big it was.
Baby size compared to a shark that rivals the blue whale as the second largest fish of the ocean. Now scientist claim the Megalodon is extinct but that's only because the only proof of its existence is the rare small fossilized pieces of its teeth and jaw. Fragments that were discovered out at sea at different points of time. After assembling them together they were able to come to the conclusion of what this mega beast would look like. However, there's a news report video online that reveals a Great White Shark was nearly bitten in half. And there is also another story of a science experiment involving a Great White Shark being swallowed whole.
Unsolved mysteries till this day and one of the many that could be surfacing through out the world. One claim was down in Mexico where residents say a Demon Black Shark would attack boats from below. It was measured around the same length as the Megalodon but was considered debunked after researchers released a documentary claiming nothing was ever found. I don’t believe it of course and it’s because of situations like the white Sperm Whale dilemma. These mammals are the very species that sparked the tale of Moby Dick but were hardly ever seen. And a video that went viral recently revealed how the rare footage that was shot was one of only four finds in the entire ocean.
That statement alone should show how out of the loop man is when it comes to the deep sea. Because remember - sharks don’t need to surface for air like these mammals. So a Megalodon could be anywhere in the world, especially in cold extremely excluded areas like Antarctica. Which would make sense since it was prehistoric and could have been forced to seek colder waters after the world was nuked by a meteor. Another recent discovery to support this guess is that a Great White can actually migrate to those areas and survive.
And if a Killer Whale can also handle it, what makes us think a shark almost 3 to 4 times its size can’t fathom swimming in arctic cold waters?
But that’s just my theory, what’s yours?
